Protocol for adopting a "Lost: LB.

From: jiggs11onlb (jiggs111@earthlink.net) | Date: 2006-05-16 12:10:07 UTC
Last week I posted about finding a long-forgotten box in NS, the Beaver
Mountain Provincial Park box near Antigonish.

The placers email, vanloonc@yahoo.com is no longer active, and further
attempts to contact them have been fruitless.

Sooo, I would really like to "adopt" this box, to at least get the
clues listed on the main board again (I found them on the old site).

Do I just go ahead and post them, with a reference to the original
placers?

Jiggs

Jiggs,

Here are two acceptable examples of adopted letterboxes.

http://www.letterboxing.org/BoxView.php?boxnum=18178&boxname=Nagog_Hill_Letterbox

http://www.letterboxing.org/BoxView.php?boxnum=18516&boxname=Kokopelli's_Flute

I think the important thing is that both give credit to the original placers.

Hi Jiggs

I'm not sure if you found this letterbox in the "Basement" or the
old LbNA site.

If it was found in the basement then you can contact Jay via posting
there and advise that you wish to adopt.

those that do not know about the basement.

Nope, this one was so old it never even made it to the basement lol!

I'm relisting it with credit given to the original placers etc...

Cheers, Jiggs
